Since GOD is the indirect author (HE used men that HE raised up to pen the various books of the Scriptures) of this ‘how to’ book, if you don't believe in HIM that GOD is who HE said HE is, you are just not going to learn anything from HIS book. So believing in the GOD of the Christian Bible is a prerequisite to understanding the Bible. This is one of the main reason most of mankind do not understand the Christian Bible, they really don't believe in GOD even though many said they believe in GOD calling themselves Christians and followers of JESUS CHRIST. That is not all, you also have to believe HIM, believe what GOD said as is recorded in the Scripture of Truth.
Many were the Jews who believed in JESUS CHRIST in the days when JESUS CHRIST walked on the earth as a man (exactly like you and me). But few of those Jews who believed in HIM, believed what HE said, the things HE taught and commanded. In the end when HE was brought by the Jewish religious authority before Pilate to be murdered, they shouted for HIS blood (Matthew 27:22 - 23, 25; Mark 15:12 - 15; John 19:12). That was despite all that HE had done for them, performing many miraculous signs, healing many of them. They never believed HIM even though they had believed in their heart that they believed in HIM. Because faith is required to believe in GOD and to believe GOD. Adam didn't have that faith that was why he obeyed his wife. Eve didn't have that faith that was why she obeyed a strange serpent.
Because tagged to this faith of believing in GOD there is also that of believing GOD. No point to say you believe in someone but you do not believe a single word he or she said, that would made the very term 'believe in him' completely meaningless. How can you say you believe in this or that person when you don't believe a single word that person said or teach or advocate?
Now can you see how ridiculous are the doctrines of the Christmas religion where their millions to billions of the followers said they believe in JESUS CHRIST but not a single one of these believed a single word HE said? How else can you explain why they obeyed nothing HE taught and commanded and instructed, as were recorded in the Holy Scriptures by HIS Prophets and Apostles. But instead they obeyed Christmas, Easter, Sunday and advocating penance or a grace that does not require any faith?
Now can you see that mainstream "Christianity" truly does not believe in GOD or in JESUS CHRIST at all. They believe in somebody alright. This is who they really believe in, a pope and a successions of popes and a universal church and a “universal Christianity.” That is why they obey their doctrines but not the doctrines of JESUS CHRIST.

Today, almost the whole of “Christendom” does not believe GOD, they don't believe anything JESUS taught and commanded. They believe in HIM, telling everyone that JESUS is the SON of GOD but they rejected HIS teaching as not relevant, HIS commandments, laws and percepts as invalid and needed not be obeyed and to be ignored, and the records of the Holy Scriptures as some entertaining irrelevant stories and fables.
GOD's Sabbath which HE made for us when HE made Adam and Eve and HIS ordained Feast (which outlined GOD's plan to redeem all mankind) they have replaced with lies that tells us nothing about the good news that HIS SON came born as a man to deliver to us so that we may understand GOD's love for us and appreciate the eternal inheritance that had been prepared for all those who love GOD.
They rejected the EVERLASTING COVENANT made in the blood of HIS SON (Hebrews 13:20; 1 Corinthians 11:25) and replaced it with Easter (Psalm 16:4). They broke the New Testament Covenant rejecting HIS grace and mercy, trampling on the sacrifice of HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST who died that they might have eternal life (Hebrews 10:29, 26). The very sacrifice by which HE redeemed all man from sin and eternal judgment they rejected and replaced with Easter which they claimed commemorated HIS resurrection. They have been so drunk with their fornication with the Devil that they don't even know how to count from one to three.
We have a worldwide “Christianity” that have been teaching that the clearly written words and the obvious message of the Christian Bible cannot be believed because you just can't take the words of the Bible literally. We are to believe in a Christmas that is not in the Bible. An Easter that is not in the Bible. A Sunday resurrection that is not in the Bible. A Sunday “Christian” Sabbath or day of worship and rest day that is not in the Bible. We are being told that we do not have to keep or observe anything to be saved which is also not in the Bible (Matthew 28:18 - 20).
Is the ALMIGHTY CREATOR GOD telling us all these things? Is the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob telling us all these things? Is JESUS CHRIST telling us all these things today whereas in the record of HIS teaching to HIS hand picked Apostles and all Christians (John 17:20), HE specifically instructed them to keep HIS commandments (John 14:15, 21; 15:10; 1 Corinthians 7:19; 1 John 2:4; 3:22, 24; 5:3; Revelation 12:17; 14:12) and commanded them to observe all things (Matthew 28:20) that HE had taught them?
If you are a true Christian who should you believed? JESUS CHRIST and all HIS Apostles or some men who on their own authority had appointed themselves the sole arbiter of GOD (1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 12:24; Acts 4:12)?
Why does the whole world of “Christianity” not believe JESUS CHRIST? Why don't they believe what HE said and taught as is recorded in the Scriptures of Truth translated into the Christian Bible of today? Why don't they believe what HIS Apostles wrote?
Aside from believing in JESUS CHRIST do you also believe what HE said, taught and instructed? Are you keeping HIS commandments, the commandments of GOD as is written in the Holy Scriptures? Are you observing all things HE had commanded as were recorded in the Scripture of Truth? Are you keeping and commemorating the EVERLASTING COVENANT in JESUS CHRIST blood and death (Hebrews 13:20; Luke 22:20; 1 Corinthians 11:25) or are you breaking the EVERLASTING COVENANT (Isaiah 24:5) in keeping Easter (Psalm 16:4) thereby voiding the grace of GOD for you?
Don't deceive yourself, if you do not believe JESUS CHRIST (John 3:15 - 18, 36) and GOD (John 5:24) through believing a Pope or or a successions of Popes or some religious leaders, you are not a Christian (John 14:23; 8:31, 43 - 44, 37).
If you are not keeping GOD's commandment and observing all things that JESUS CHRIST commanded you are not a Christian (John 14:21; 15:10; Matthew 28:20).
